kpoggi@ci.stamford.ct.us | The Individualized Education Administrator for the Autism Program reports to the Director of Special Education and is responsible for supporting Stamford special populations on all issues realted to IDEA and appropriate support services. This includes prevention and intervention services and strategies. Responsibilites include: Assist in evaluating and initial PPT meetings to identify students in collaboration with building teachers and administration. Supervises and evaluates instructional staff assigned to the Special Education Department in collaboration with building administration. Directs on-going assessmetn of acheivement of students and eductional programs. Provides leadership in the development, piloting and implementation of programs and services designed to meet student needs. Assists in the development, implementation and supervision of special education services. Implements in-service training for teachers and other personnel in cooperation with staff development leaders. Supervises and supports activities for prevention and intervention team members.
