Student Accident Insurance
S tudent Accident Insurance covers injuries a student sustains during gym class, intramural and interscholastic sports, high school cheerleading and field trips of one night or less. This insurance policy is underwritten by Markel Insurance Company and claims are processed by Bob McCloskey Insurance. The insurance is primary coverage for those who do not have group or private insurance. It is secondary coverage for those who have group or private insurance. Administrative Process Schools submits a completed Accidental Injury and Illness Report to the Benefits Administration Office. The Benefits Administration Office sends a claim form and claim procedures to the parents/guardians of the student. The student's parents/guardians submit a claim with hospital and/or medical bills to BMI Benefits, P.O. Box 511, Matawan, NJ 07747. BMI Benefits processes claims and responds to questions regarding the insurance coverage and the processing of claims.
